Week 1: Blogging Birth

This will be my first entry ever on any kind of blog. I have been very selective of my online or social media use until this point. Now the time has come to become indulged in the vast digital world to expand business and connections. I wanted to choose a template that could create an aesthetic that can best be described as a vintage interest living in a modern world.
I am what you would call an audio enthusiast. My interests include recording and working on vintage audio equipment. I was very happy to find a picture of the boom box to add as the background. I feel that can lead someone to believe I at least enjoy listening to music.
The background picture of the boom box will initially catch the eye and represent vintage because of the era it comes from. I wanted to spice up the text on the other hand to create a more modern feel. The header and the rest of the pages text have a digital or robotic/space feel that only screams technology from my perspective.

  1. Hello,

The boom box is quite eye catching for sure and I owned one when I was younger. I remember cruising the streets of Seattle with my sister and friend listening to Quiet Riot, Billy Idol, U2 and more.

This is also my first time blogging and I am excited to get more familiar with it.

    Blog on!

  2. Hey!

Your blog instantly caught my eye! Love the vintage feel. Growing up in the hood, I am very familiar with boom boxes and every time I see one I instantly am reminded of Hip Hop culture because how much me and my brothers were exposed to it.

Looking forward to seeing more of your posts!

  3. Thanks for the compliments. I think we could have been the last generation exposed to the boom box and thankfully right. I enjoyed commenting on Holly Gillard's, Nalia Kreider's, and Poetry Loggins' blogs.

    1. I totally ignored directions and commented on other peoples pages not in my group. I also just enjoyed commenting on Deanna Haala's and Joshua Pheneger's Blogs. Sorry for the confusion.
